Early in 2004 due to the growing burden of public liability the QSAA negotiated with the Flinders Ranges Council to bring the running of the arena under a section 41 sub committee of council and all trail rides are now covered by all riders having to join ATHRA ( Australian Trail Horse Riders Association), single day or one off events will be covered by an insurance paid by riders in the given event.
The association was formed in 1994 by a group of horse lovers bringing together quarter horse, stock horse, thoroughbred horse and even the old family hack horse owners. Today it caters for camp-draft, trail rides, rodeo, gymkhanas, in fact anything equestrian can be done with the Quorn Stockyard Arena Association in the Flinders Ranges of South Australia.
The Quorn Stockyard Arena Association is a premium camp-draft, gymkhana and horse riding organisation situated at Quorn. We are inviting you, your family and friends to enjoy horse riding and social get together events in one of the most scenic parts of South Australia's beautiful Flinders Ranges.
Catering for quarter horse, stock horse, thoroughbred horse and the old family hack horse owners this Association continues with the long standing tradition of outback Australia where these horses have been used for over 150 years.
